Error; Attempting to run Brain.exe, Item not found.

My brain is dead. I never expected my brain to rot so quickly over the holidays.. But apparently sitting around on the sofa for 6 weeks whilst doing nothing else can do that to you. What's worse is that I now actually have to try and use this piece of garbage in my head, because I'm back at School. AH Maths and Chemistry and practically just killing the brain cells which didn't happen to die during the Summer. And sleep deprivation from various parties and gatherings doesn't really help either. Not that I'm using my brain outside of school though.

I have a job interview/thingie in about an hour. This should be interesting because I got maybe 3 hours sleep last night.. I don't really want to fall asleep in a potential job interview/thingie. That would be embarrassing. And then I'm going to a leaving party/ceilidh for a friend who is going to Guyana for a year (http://ayearinguyana.blogspot.com/). I'm kind of jealous. I would love to go to Guyana for a year, but nope. I have to sit in a School Classroom whilst my brain, slowly but surely, grinds to a halt.

The "Burns" Unit.

So Tuesday is Robert Burns (Scotland's national poet) birthday. Happy Birthday Burns! You may be dead but oh well, at least you are still remembered. In celebration of this occasion Mum is holding a Burns Night supper with 4 other mothers. All the money raised goes towards the Malawi link we have at our school, so basically it pays us to get there, help build a hall, climb up Mount Mulanje, and get back basically. All the pupils going on the Malawi trip are waiters tonight which should be fun. I have to do a Welcome Speech which is basically 5-6 lines of nothing. It should be fun though. This information probably isn't relevant to you in anyway though. I just wanted to put it in so this blog looks bigger mainly because I have nothing else to write about. Oh wait, yes I do! Studying!

Lets all give it a cheer! Whoop de freaking whoop. The past few days I have done nothing but study. And these aren't even my actual exams coming up. They're prelims! I dread to think what will happen when my actual Highers are around the corner. Will I be stuck in my room under lock and key? Highly unlikely, seeing as there is no-where to put a lock on my door. They could take the xbox away. But that just means I have nothing to do in the very few minutes of free time I will actually get. All of this is slightly exaggerated I hope you realise. I am basically just waffling on cause I don't want to go back to my room and study. Sigh. I can't wait for 6th year. The only bad thing about me being in 6th year is the fact that the current 6th years will have left. That'll be no fun. We'll be the top people in the school after teachers. Double sigh. Well, I suppose I better get back to memorising this welcome speech and get back to learning how to calculate an Enthalpy reaction. Yaaaay! Fun... DFTBA.

Christmas Kerfuffle?

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?! Umm.. Duh duh duh dum?
I don't know the rest of the words. But what I do know is that I am back. I have not done a blog in months and because my Internet is being really slow and I actually have something to write about, I'm doing another one.

So, Christmas. Did you all have fun? I did, though I didn't feel very christmassy. It could have been the fact that school ended two days before it, or it could have been the lack of Christmas lights in Fortrose. But I did feel christmassy on the day. Slept till 9am. Got woken up my sister. Went downstairs, oggled at presents and then began the wait for the older, slower people a.k.a Parents and Grandparents. So we waited, and waited, and waited, and after a while opened one of our smaller presents to keep us in the mood. I got Halo: Reach, a game I have been wanting for ages. I got other bits and bobs, a new ipod which was both birthday present and Christmas present combined and so on and so forth. There was snow, which was good, but it's thawing now so that's a bit sucky. I'm hopefully going into town tomorrow to get Fallout: New Vegas for the PC. This is rather odd for me as I'm normally a Xbox gamer, but after watching some gameplay footage, the PC version seems a lot better.

What I'm finding particularly disturbing though is the fact that it doesn't seem that long since last Christmas. I still have to watch some DVDs I got last year. The whole year has flown past. Exams, the start of 5th year, all of it. Before the end of term we got our 6th year choices form. Our 6th year choices form?! I can barely handle some of our 5th year subjects, (mainly English though). I'm gonna be insane though and go for Advanced Higher Chemistry, Physics and Maths. I feel old. Too old. Even though I did just turn 16, which makes me quite young in comparison that Devon (http://devonisonfirestill.blogspot.com/) who just turned 17 and insists on calling me Baby Andrew.

So I hope you had a good Christmas, and I will see you all in the New Year. DFTBA

Monday Morning Symptoms.

Wow, here's a tip about Chemistry lessons. If your doing an experiment where Ammonia gas is created, don't stick your nose in the beaker and take a really big sniff.... But on the plus side, my runny nose has gone..

So I was re-looking at my last blog and I realised I mention some Zombie rules.. So I though, "Hey, I should make up my own rules.. It'll take me a week or so to make up enough and maybe if I can be bothered I may turn them into a Youtube video... Today was alright. I generally hate Mondays. And Tuesdays. And every day bar Wednesday mornings and some Thursdays. But yeah, today was alright. Apart from the Chemistry incident nothing went too wrong. I got a good result from the Physics test which I thought was an absolute fail so it's all good.. I just finished watching the second last episode of the latest series of Doctor Who and it makes me so happy. Doctor Who is an epic show and Matt Smith is one of the better Doctor's there have been. Him and David Tennant are right up in my list of favourite actors. I kinda needed a boost of happiness to balance out the fact that I remembered how "Of Mice and Men" ended... Such a sad book. Anyway, this is boring. I have nothing to talk about today. Sad Face. DFTBA.

Zombie Doom?

Well, today was fun. School dragged on for hours. The classes did anyway, lunch was fun, and so was break. Me and Devon realised I could do a pretty good gay, German accent, which we then realised was Brüno. I've never seen Brüno, don't think I want too either. Anyway, also at lunch Kathryn, Heather and I started talking about the possibility of a Zombie outbreak and which of us would survive (This started cause I saw someone scream and throw something to the ground. Don't ask), I apparently would be like Columbus out of the film "Zombieland". I think this is awesome. For those who aren't aware, Columbus is a nerd who is scared of clowns and has rules for Zombie Survival e.g. Rule 2: Double Tap. I figure this is a lot like me, I'm a nerd, I am rather creeped out by clowns and I do have to have a plan or rules for everything. Plus I figure that Bob has taught me enough about Zombie survival. Now I think about it, Bob would be Robert Neville from "I am Legend", militaristic, a passion for his dog and good survival skills. This is just me though. We all agreed Heather would be dead by then. Purely cause she's too nice. Kathryn ofcourse would be some hardcore person with a double barreled shotgun on a porch of a wood cabin shooting every Zombie in sight....

All this got me thinking, if there was a Zombie Apocalypse (Which is getting increasingly likely with Human Genetics studies getting more popular) what would I do? I thought about this on the way home and I decided to make a list.
  • Weaponry? I would most likely have a pistol and definitely a shotgun for close range Zombies. For Zombies approaching from far away, I would have a Sniper Rifle.. And purely for aesthetic taste, I'd have some sort of Sword. Mostly likely a Katana.
  • Vehicle? That's a toughie. It would either be a Tank which though slow is pretty much impenetrable. It would be that or some big Truck like Tallahassee's from "Zombieland". Something well armoured.
  • Base? Either a Swiss Chalet or Buckingham palace. The Chalet would be rather remote so there would be a lack of Zombies, but wheres the fun in that. Buckingham Palace would be good but the only trouble is too much open space in it so covering all areas would be difficult.
  • Partner? Depending on whether if I can choose a Fictional Character or not, I have two choices. If Fictional was possible I would choose Gordan Freeman from the popular game series Half-Life. He's a Hard-core PhD Physicist would can take down a Zombie and even an entire alien race with a Crowbar. But unfortunately he's not real, so I would have to pick someone else. I would probably pick Bob. Though clumsy and idiotic at times, he's a good laugh so things would never be without entertainment but he's also good at scavenging things together to make a make-shift hut.
  • Any extras? Probably just a book actually, well several. The entire works of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Depending on how long the Outbreak went on for I would definitely get bored in the end so to keep me sane I would take this.
So that's it. I realise that this is a lot to read and it's probably boring. But as Columbus would say "Rule 32: Enjoy the little things". DFTBA.

Insert Witty Title Concerning Blog Here..

Wow, well, Today. Today was a baaad day. Nothing actually went properly wrong, but it was just a day where I knew I hated everything and anything that went the slightest bit quirky from breakfast... And trust me, I get a lot of bad days.. I can't remember my last good day. I do cheer up at the end of a bad day though. Something minor will cheer my up, usually something clever I found on the Internet. But anyway, Today sucked for me. All the little mockings, or things that went wrong in school kinda piled together into one enormous monster of annoyance. This wasn;t helped by the fact that Mrs Gilliland brought in a Baritone Saxophone to take home. This Baritone weighed maybe, two tonnes, and the case weighed another two tonnes (Slight exaggeration but you get the picture). Then I found out Mum was in town so I had to drag four tonnes of metal and plastic home. I wasn't even that keen to be playing this muckle big thing, until I actually got home and realised how mental this thing is and how much I love it....

So I was having a really really bad day, though most my friends and especially Devon Barnett will say I always have bad days, which is partly true. But anyway' this day was major suckage UNTIL probably the most epic tv talen contest thing ever came on T.V... "The Great British Bake-Off".  Don't judge, but I love my baking. I don't like to bake. But I like to eat baking.. And this weeks episode was on Biscuits... I proper love my biscuits. Especially Café Noir made by McVities. They're so delicious. Anyway, this show cheered me up immensly.. Just another thing achieved through the power of Biscuit...

The Time Is Upon Us.

Yes people, it's almost time. Time for School. Once again, children all over Scotland are being filled with the dread of homework, revision and school stereotyping. But you know what? I miss school. During the entire holiday I have had very little chances to see my friends. Now I think about it, I don't think I actually did meet up with any of them. This makes me sad. I like my friends. They're like another family to me. We all have our differences and similarities, and yes, everyone now and then an arguement breaks out. But we make up. I'm not one to hold grudges, much. Even though Kathryn and I had an arguement over if a Muffin was a cake for about four or five months (I won. It's a type of sweet bread.) I generally won't have a grudge about someone or something for very long. I may however make a big deal out of things, e.g. I once shunned my nickname "Panda" because I thought now enough people knew my actual name. But anyway, the best part is my friends know all my little faults, and even my major defects but they see past them. Just as anyone should. This brings me to another topic. I think I'll keep that though till next week.

(Yes, I know. It's not a funny picture. Get over it.)

Today was a rather marvellous day. Kinda. After the whole daily routine of Wake Up, Eat, Watch Tv, Shower, I played around on the computer. Around 1 o'clock Dad decided I was too lazy and announced me and him were off for a cycle whilst Mum and Rhona were at a wedding of some sorts. It wasn't so bad, I got a cupcake from the Malawi stall at the St Boniface fair which was tasty and waved at Amy Mcllhenny at her gate. We went up by Killen and a bit further before heading back. When we got home I was fairly sweating so I had a nice Irn-Bru and changed clothes before Catriona and Janice Stewart (My Cousin and Auntie) showed up. I like having them over. They're really nice and funny. I also learned that Catriona is a nerd like me so Catriona, Flora (Catriona's friend) and I watched a wee bittie of Star Trek together. Fun times. Not much happened today after that. So here I am writing my blog and listening to Paolo Nutini. Here. Now. At 10:10pm on August 12th of 2010.. DFTBA.

Oh Snap!

Today was just so much fun. I know I pretty much start off every blog like this, but this day doesn't just take the cake, it eats it whole. First off Chemistry. Playing card games for the whole period. And not cool card games like Poker, we played Snap. And this game was tense. So tense I almost cried. Of laughter, but that's not the point. It was a three-way face-off. Heather, Devon and I. Heather lost within five minutes, but me and Devon played for another 50 minutes and I eventually won. But it was very close. My number of cards went up and down like a roller coaster but I still won. The best moment was Devon forgetting how to speak English and saying "MAAMAALAALLMALAM!!!" instead of the traditional "SNAP!" Good times. I then introduced Devon to 21 (or Blackjack or whatever you want to call it) and had a few games of that. I think we drew on that one... I like Blackjack. It's fun, easy, simples and if you're a genius, can get you a bucket load of money. It's called Card-Counting. If you've ever seen the film "21" you know what it is. You basically have to estimate the probability of which cards coming up next, what cards the dealer has and if you should stick or hit. I really wanna learn how to do that.

So in memory of my past two days of dressing up I am now wearing glasses I kept from a 3D film. Not sure which. I have many of these glasses cause, well, I'm a hoarder. Jokes. I like shiny things and these are not exception. Shiny Shiny....

Boot-Skat.

Hello my dear, dear friends/readers/aliens/cyborgs.
I spent today in the wrong school.... I was a Culloden Academy for a Jazz Workshop (At this point of writing I saw a GIF about Fry from Futurama's pet dog that waited for him to come back but he never did cause he was in a frozen state, and it made me sad...) and I was there most of the school day which was unfortunate cause I missed the whole day of fun new 5th year classes. There I made new friends, met an old friend and got scared by a hyper dude in a purple jumper. I also learned new tricks on Improvisation and clapped a lot. I haven't really done much in the past few days. I still need to get a NERF gun but as soon as I pay my debts to the bank of Dad, it's off to Amazon we go.
