Mass (After)-Effect

Alright, alright. I haven't done a blog in a while... Actually, I haven't done one in like two weeks. Oopsadaisy. Anyway, It's not my fault, well, it kinda is, but still... I've been busy. Busy playing Mass Effect.. What a game. I mean, seriously, what a game. My only problem about it is that its too short. I kinda find it funny too. Whilst everyone is fussing about Halo: Reach (Which I really really really want), I'm only just starting to play Mass Effect. I don't really have much to talk about. Yesterday was good. Fantastically good. I've not felt so good in ages. In Chemistry we were doing an experiment that involved Propanone (CH3COCH3) and I stated that I smelt Baileys. Unfortunately Heather and Devon didn't hear the word Baileys, they heard "I smell Babies".  Not the best thing for me to say in the middle of a Chemistry classroom. And then during English, I made an even worse mistake. Mrs Mackintosh was going through words that we use that are slang i.e. Chav, Ned. I didn't know this and thought she was saying people who use slang. So I pretty much shouted "Farmer!".. I think I may have confused the whole classroom. And then, in the evening I went to a Ceilidh for the Malawians at school. It's one of the best nights I've had for a long time I think.. One of the Malawians, James, did an impression of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" dance. Wow. He was good! And I'm not just saying that. He was, like, really good. So yeah, last night was a good night. Last week was a good week altogether.. DFTBA.

The Life Of A Nineties Kid.

That title you just read, it's gonna be the title of my Personal Reflective whatsit for English. I honestly don't have much else to write about. Nothing major has happened in my life. I mean, I've never even broken a bone. And all the stories I have are fairly embarrassing and/or not possible to have an reflection on. I mean, how can I reflect on being accidentally dropped down the stairs at the age of one? Or flying off a see-saw and face-planting at the age of eight or nine? The only properly major thing that has happened has been moving up here to Scotland and to be perfectly honest, I don't remember much of it. But being a nineties kid is a good topic I think. Cause the way I see it, there are a lot of things which can influence in your younger years to what you become in your older years. Lego blocks can influence your creative or inventive side. Recorders can develop musical skills. Pokémon influences you to fight animals for money.... I mean, whut? But being a nineties kid was great. I had a lot of fun memories of being that old. It was the last decade of the 20th century. The end of a millenia. And boy, what an end. I don't think I would've been able to survive with-out a daily dose of Crazy-bones or Scooters. I miss being that child in ways that I cannot explain. To be an innocent (to an extent) little child with no cares about the rest of the world. Now I admit, I haven't changed much. I'm still immature, I still like Crazy-Bones and Scooters, but now I'm older people start to expect you to act it. And I resent this. Growing older doesn't always necessarily mean I have to grow up. Who wants to be an old, grumpy pencil pusher who's only joy in life is "Antiques Roadshow" and a nice Oatcake? Not me that's for sure. Give me a sippy cup and a episode of "Digimon" any day. DFTBA.

Monday Morning Symptoms.

Wow, here's a tip about Chemistry lessons. If your doing an experiment where Ammonia gas is created, don't stick your nose in the beaker and take a really big sniff.... But on the plus side, my runny nose has gone..

So I was re-looking at my last blog and I realised I mention some Zombie rules.. So I though, "Hey, I should make up my own rules.. It'll take me a week or so to make up enough and maybe if I can be bothered I may turn them into a Youtube video... Today was alright. I generally hate Mondays. And Tuesdays. And every day bar Wednesday mornings and some Thursdays. But yeah, today was alright. Apart from the Chemistry incident nothing went too wrong. I got a good result from the Physics test which I thought was an absolute fail so it's all good.. I just finished watching the second last episode of the latest series of Doctor Who and it makes me so happy. Doctor Who is an epic show and Matt Smith is one of the better Doctor's there have been. Him and David Tennant are right up in my list of favourite actors. I kinda needed a boost of happiness to balance out the fact that I remembered how "Of Mice and Men" ended... Such a sad book. Anyway, this is boring. I have nothing to talk about today. Sad Face. DFTBA.

Zombie Doom?

Well, today was fun. School dragged on for hours. The classes did anyway, lunch was fun, and so was break. Me and Devon realised I could do a pretty good gay, German accent, which we then realised was Brüno. I've never seen Brüno, don't think I want too either. Anyway, also at lunch Kathryn, Heather and I started talking about the possibility of a Zombie outbreak and which of us would survive (This started cause I saw someone scream and throw something to the ground. Don't ask), I apparently would be like Columbus out of the film "Zombieland". I think this is awesome. For those who aren't aware, Columbus is a nerd who is scared of clowns and has rules for Zombie Survival e.g. Rule 2: Double Tap. I figure this is a lot like me, I'm a nerd, I am rather creeped out by clowns and I do have to have a plan or rules for everything. Plus I figure that Bob has taught me enough about Zombie survival. Now I think about it, Bob would be Robert Neville from "I am Legend", militaristic, a passion for his dog and good survival skills. This is just me though. We all agreed Heather would be dead by then. Purely cause she's too nice. Kathryn ofcourse would be some hardcore person with a double barreled shotgun on a porch of a wood cabin shooting every Zombie in sight....

All this got me thinking, if there was a Zombie Apocalypse (Which is getting increasingly likely with Human Genetics studies getting more popular) what would I do? I thought about this on the way home and I decided to make a list.
  • Weaponry? I would most likely have a pistol and definitely a shotgun for close range Zombies. For Zombies approaching from far away, I would have a Sniper Rifle.. And purely for aesthetic taste, I'd have some sort of Sword. Mostly likely a Katana.
  • Vehicle? That's a toughie. It would either be a Tank which though slow is pretty much impenetrable. It would be that or some big Truck like Tallahassee's from "Zombieland". Something well armoured.
  • Base? Either a Swiss Chalet or Buckingham palace. The Chalet would be rather remote so there would be a lack of Zombies, but wheres the fun in that. Buckingham Palace would be good but the only trouble is too much open space in it so covering all areas would be difficult.
  • Partner? Depending on whether if I can choose a Fictional Character or not, I have two choices. If Fictional was possible I would choose Gordan Freeman from the popular game series Half-Life. He's a Hard-core PhD Physicist would can take down a Zombie and even an entire alien race with a Crowbar. But unfortunately he's not real, so I would have to pick someone else. I would probably pick Bob. Though clumsy and idiotic at times, he's a good laugh so things would never be without entertainment but he's also good at scavenging things together to make a make-shift hut.
  • Any extras? Probably just a book actually, well several. The entire works of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Depending on how long the Outbreak went on for I would definitely get bored in the end so to keep me sane I would take this.
So that's it. I realise that this is a lot to read and it's probably boring. But as Columbus would say "Rule 32: Enjoy the little things". DFTBA.

Hurr Durr?

I proper feel like I am gonna die. I got a cold on Saturday and it's already killing me... Sore throat, a constant sneezing, coughing like a certain Pokémon with the same sounding name, the works! But you don't want to here about my crappy illnesses which cause my major distress... Do you? Hope you don't.

You know who annoy me? Stupid people. And not people like me or my friends who act kinda clumsy and silly. People with an IQ legible of a hamster. You know the people. The kind that think its safe to blow TNT up whilst stand a metre away from it. These the people who get on my nerves. But it doesn't annoy me as much as some people. There are two groups who annoy me more: Your preppy American spoilt kid that's always on "Sweet 16" or whatever that show's called, and then the people who are stupid but are arrogant and think that they're right even though they're clearly wrong. I'll talk about American brats though, because I'm too tired to write a lot. In the occasion that I'm at someones house and someone changes the T.V channel to TMF or Viva, whatever it is now, Sweet 16 is always on. And I immediately know that somewhere during this programme daddies little boy or girl is gonna break into tears because they got a Ferrari instead of a Lamborghini. I mean, I watched a show and a guy got annoyed because the barber cut his hair too short even though she gave him what he asked for. And he was worried that people will notice and he'll be a laughing stock. Seriously? You're throwing a Two Million pound party with tonnes of people excited to be there, and you think someone is gonna risk going to that party by laughing at your hair? Man up.. If it was a girl it'd be bad enough, but come on dude. So daddy got you the wrong type of Rolex? You're rolling in about what some people don't even have. So stop your crying, or I'll go over there and go all Chuck Norris on your rich butt. Assuming this cold doesn't kill me first...

Insert Witty Title Concerning Blog Here..

Wow, well, Today. Today was a baaad day. Nothing actually went properly wrong, but it was just a day where I knew I hated everything and anything that went the slightest bit quirky from breakfast... And trust me, I get a lot of bad days.. I can't remember my last good day. I do cheer up at the end of a bad day though. Something minor will cheer my up, usually something clever I found on the Internet. But anyway, Today sucked for me. All the little mockings, or things that went wrong in school kinda piled together into one enormous monster of annoyance. This wasn;t helped by the fact that Mrs Gilliland brought in a Baritone Saxophone to take home. This Baritone weighed maybe, two tonnes, and the case weighed another two tonnes (Slight exaggeration but you get the picture). Then I found out Mum was in town so I had to drag four tonnes of metal and plastic home. I wasn't even that keen to be playing this muckle big thing, until I actually got home and realised how mental this thing is and how much I love it....

So I was having a really really bad day, though most my friends and especially Devon Barnett will say I always have bad days, which is partly true. But anyway' this day was major suckage UNTIL probably the most epic tv talen contest thing ever came on T.V... "The Great British Bake-Off".  Don't judge, but I love my baking. I don't like to bake. But I like to eat baking.. And this weeks episode was on Biscuits... I proper love my biscuits. Especially Café Noir made by McVities. They're so delicious. Anyway, this show cheered me up immensly.. Just another thing achieved through the power of Biscuit...

Gamer Heaven..

I haven't done a blog in ages. So here I am, inside on a sunny day at my computer typing one out. And I can tell you what, Higher Classes are hard.. I mean Maths is getting fairly confuzzling. Differentation, y-b=m(x-a) and other stuff... My brain can't take it, especially with what I am about to write about next, Gaming,

So for the next three months I am going to be fairly out of cash as so many games are coming out that I want. On the 17th of September Halo: Reach is coming out,,and on the 29th of October Fable III is coming out (UBER-EXCITED) and finally on the 19th of November is Assassins Creed Brotherhood. Oh my word. I cannot wait. I am so so so so so hyped. Fable III looks Uh-Mazing! I've seen so many trailers and interviews, read so many articles, and I really really want it. If Bethesda releases The Elder-Scrolls V, I may blow up out of happiness. And even better, this past few weeks a few brilliant Xbox live games have been released, the ones I have gotten are Monday Night Combat, Epic Game for Multiplayer, and LIMBO, a game all about puzzles and mind-games... So good. I realise this isn't a very interesting blog, but I really wanted to blog about this. So this is all of it really. Hasta la Vista. DFTBA.
