The Life Of A Nineties Kid.

That title you just read, it's gonna be the title of my Personal Reflective whatsit for English. I honestly don't have much else to write about. Nothing major has happened in my life. I mean, I've never even broken a bone. And all the stories I have are fairly embarrassing and/or not possible to have an reflection on. I mean, how can I reflect on being accidentally dropped down the stairs at the age of one? Or flying off a see-saw and face-planting at the age of eight or nine? The only properly major thing that has happened has been moving up here to Scotland and to be perfectly honest, I don't remember much of it. But being a nineties kid is a good topic I think. Cause the way I see it, there are a lot of things which can influence in your younger years to what you become in your older years. Lego blocks can influence your creative or inventive side. Recorders can develop musical skills. Pokémon influences you to fight animals for money.... I mean, whut? But being a nineties kid was great. I had a lot of fun memories of being that old. It was the last decade of the 20th century. The end of a millenia. And boy, what an end. I don't think I would've been able to survive with-out a daily dose of Crazy-bones or Scooters. I miss being that child in ways that I cannot explain. To be an innocent (to an extent) little child with no cares about the rest of the world. Now I admit, I haven't changed much. I'm still immature, I still like Crazy-Bones and Scooters, but now I'm older people start to expect you to act it. And I resent this. Growing older doesn't always necessarily mean I have to grow up. Who wants to be an old, grumpy pencil pusher who's only joy in life is "Antiques Roadshow" and a nice Oatcake? Not me that's for sure. Give me a sippy cup and a episode of "Digimon" any day. DFTBA.

Chargin' mah laser!

Shoop de whoop! Only some weirdos like moi will get the title. Lets hope some do.
Dammit. Why is it everytime I go to write this I forget what I was gonna write?! Ooooh. I just found a new key on my keyboard... ¬ ¬ ¬... Sorry. ADD and all....
I've been playing Skate 3 recently and I started having a "What if" moment. I have these a lot. Where I begin to wonder what would have happened if I did something differently. And there's a lot of things I regret doing/not doing. Like I regret not learning to play the cello, and I know I can begin to know but it's a bit too late if you ask me. But this particular moment was about Skateboarding. I had no sense of balance when I was younger, a trait I still have, I mean I couldn't stand up on some rollerblades until I was around 9/10-ish. And I couldn't even push a skateboard without falling off (just so everyone knows, I had a Pokemon skateboard. I know. I'm too cool.) But I occasionally did tie it to my scooter and drag people along on the Skateboard. But now I wish I had done more. I was interested, but I didn't have the willpower because, well, my attention span was even shorter than it is now. But I'm thinking I may take it up now. I'd love to see the world in a different way. Like seeing a railing as a place to jump over, rather than it just being a railing. That would be fun.... I also have had a stroke of brilliance to add to a video idea of mine. With a little help of Freddie Wong I now have something cool which I might try to add to a video... Now all I need is a NERF gun, actors and some good effects software.

Evolution is only real in Pokémon.

Right, here we go. I'm gonna have a rant. As you can see by the Title, it's gonna be about evolution
I do not believe in evolution. Not one bit. At all. The theory that we evolved from fish is ludicrous. For people to say that I was once a fish makes me slightly offended. And it's not all because of my religious beliefs, it goes against everything. I'll make a list.
  1. The only thing I share with a fish is a short term memory. Nothing else.
  2. And for the fish to even adapt to breathe on land, how did that happen? I mean it couldn't have just wondered up the shore one day and started breathing in air. And then if it grew prone to breathing air underwater, how on earth did it do that?!
  3. This also means that the fish had to go through a chromosomal mutation. Carp fish have 104 chromosomes, we have 46. Now, it would have to have lost 58 chromosomes. That fish would never have survived therefore it would never have been able to breed and pass on this freakish fish anomaly.
I do however believe in adaptation, where an animal will slightly change to suit its surroundings. That's more believable as we can see it even in humans. People who lived in hotter, sunnier countries adapted by getting increasingly darker skins so that they would not burn so easily and reduce the risk of skin cancer. But one species cannot change into another. And now onto a reference to Pokémon, each Pokémon "evolves" into another but i think no, it adapts. Take a Charmander. It will evolve into a slightly bigger Charmeleon which is stronger, more capable to fight. It adapted to this. It didn't evolve. If the Fire/Dragon type Charmander turned into a Steel/Water type Sheep, then yes this would be evolution. But it didn't, it turned into a Charmeleon.

(These three rock by the way)

The Big Bang Theory is another matter though, It says no-where in the bible how the Universe was made. Just how the Earth and life on it was created. My theory is that God and Chuck Norris knuckletouched and the pure awesomeness created mass and matter.

So that's my rant.... You should expect a lot more, I have a lot of them. But I'll probably do one on religion tomorrow. To even things out...
